Privacy Policy

This policy covers Focuser Tools, the free tools site at tools.lifefocuser.com (the "Tools"). It is separate from the Focuser app; for the main product, see Focuser's Privacy Policy.

The Tools have no accounts, no passwords, and no payments. There are no ads, no ad tracking, and no sale of your data. The Tools are usable anonymously.

Your Draft

As you use a tool, the focuses, daily routine, and tone of voice you build are saved as an anonymous draft, both in your browser's local storage and in a short-lived server-side copy identified by a random token (not by you). The draft exists only so your work can carry over to the Focuser app if you choose to start a trial. It expires automatically after about 30 days, and the server copy is deleted once it has been claimed at signup.

First-Touch Attribution

When you first arrive, we capture basic marketing attribution (UTM query parameters and the referring URL) and store it with your draft. If you later sign up for Focuser from the Tools, this is passed along so Focuser knows where you came from. It contains no personal identifiers.

Aggregate Focus Counts

When you finalize your focuses, we increment anonymous, aggregate counts (how many people have picked each focus, and a total participant count) so the Focuses Builder can show how your picks compare to everyone else's. These counts are not linked to you in any way.

Embed Usage

When a tool is embedded on another website, we record the embedding site's hostname and how often it loads, so we can understand where the Tools are used. This does not identify visitors.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on public pages to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data (page views, session duration, general geographic region). Google Analytics uses cookies.

The Tools do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, fingerprinting, or any form of cross-site tracking. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can clear your draft and theme at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

• Carry your draft over to Focuser if you choose to sign up
• Show aggregate, anonymized comparisons in the Focuses Builder
• Understand where the Tools are embedded and used
• Monitor performance and diagnose issues

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Google Analytics

Cloudflare R2

The shareable result images the Tools generate are stored on Cloudflare R2.

Heroku (Salesforce)

The Tools are hosted on Heroku.

Drafts expire automatically after about 30 days, and the server-side copy is removed once it is claimed at signup. Aggregate focus counts and embed usage are retained indefinitely because they contain no personal information.

The Tools are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
